Who I Am
I am Mark Scott Robson.
My website address is: https://markscottrobson.com.
What Personal Data I Collect and Why
When visitors leave comments on posts, the site collects the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on my site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect your IP address, your browser user agent string, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. You should exercise your privacy rights directly with these websites.
I use Jetpack Site Stats on my site. The Jetpack Site Stats service privacy notice is available here. My hosting company, 34SP.com, collects the IP address of anyone visiting my site, but only to track attacks on my site and to allow them to take steps to prevent those attacks.
Who I Share Your Data With
No personal data is shared with third parties.
How Long I Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically, instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
All data pertaining to personal abuse, stalking and harassment are retained indefinitely.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes, including personal abuse, stalking and harassment.
Where I Send Your Data
Visitor comments are checked with Akismet, an automated spam detection service. The Akismet service privacy notice is available here.
Data may be sent outside the European Union by Automattic (the owner of Gravatar, Jetpack and Akismet). This company is registered with the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks.
This website is hosted and backed up in the UK.
