More Twenty Nineteen Theme Tweaks

Here are some more Twenty Nineteen theme tweaks. I hope you find them useful when customising this beautiful new theme.

First of all, I wanted the text on my pages to fill the whole width of the page, with equal left and right margins, and not the default, in my opinion, rather narrow width. To perform this tweak, I went to the “Additional CSS” section of my Twenty Nineteen Child theme Customiser and entered the following CSS:

body.page .entry .entry-content > *, .entry .entry-summary > * {max-width: none;}

Next, I wanted to do the same on my single posts. Again, to carry out this tweak, I went to the “Additional CSS” section of my Twenty Nineteen Child theme Customiser and entered the following CSS:

body.single-post .entry .entry-content > * {max-width: none;}

Finally, I wanted to do the same on my blog page, as, for some strange reason, this requires slightly different CSS. Yep, to tweak, I went, for the third time, to the “Additional CSS” section of my Twenty Nineteen Child theme Customiser and entered the following CSS:

.entry .entry-content > *, .entry .entry-summary > * {max-width: none;}

I did all of these tweaks, of course, in my Twenty Nineteen Child Theme, so that I could keep my customisations after the theme is updated.

However, you can also use the “Additional CSS” section of the Customiser in the original Twenty Nineteen theme to implement your tweaks. Any future theme updates will not affect your changes.

I am sure that I will come up with further tweaks in the future, but for now, at least, that’s it!

P.S. Please check out my previous tweaks.
